In Kansas City, they know a thing or two about barbecues!  The city is famous for the barbecue pork rib rub recipe for traditional Kansas City-Style cuisine. which involves slowly cooked smoked meats that evolved from the early 1900's in Kansas City Missouri (not to be confused with the other Kansas City just across the state line).

Kansas City barbecue is slow-smoked over a variety of woods and then covered with a thick tomato, molasses based sauce.

This rub is so good that you will want to keep a shaker bottle handy for more than just ribs.
